Hello everyone , hope you all had an amazing day. Finally its time , my first ever blog post. I am super super excited for this. I so wanted to do this from such a long time. This recipe, hope you all will like it as much as I do and will try your hands on it.
So starting with a very basic and one of the easiest recipe, also a healthy one- banana smoothie. Before getting into the steps of the recipe I would love to let you know about its origin , its nutritional value and much more . I personally love knowing about the origin of the dishes or drinks , I am hoping that you will enjoy this too.

BECOME FAMILIAR TO THE SMOOTHIE
- The first one to introduce smoothies were South Americans and they used to call it by the name the fruit slush.
- Smoothies originated back in the 1920's and was invented by Julius Freed who had stomach health problem.
- After doing a bit of research I got to know that smoothies come under liquid food and health and nutrition experts suggests that liquid food are good for digestion.
- Basically smoothies are blend of vegetables and fruits in liquid form , and it is easier for our body to break them down which ultimately leads to good digestion.
- As per my understanding and a bit of research basic frame for preparing smoothies would be adding fruits or vegies in a juicer followed by some water or cream or milk or sweet yogurt.
- Particularly banana smoothies are packed with potassium and vitamin C. If your doctor recommends a low sugar diet for you, keep in mind that bananas have a lot of natural sugar and can help you in adjusting your meal.
Below mentioned ingredients would be enough to prepare for two.
- Milk- 2 cups (room temperature)
- Bananas -2 to 3
- Dark chocolate - shredded
- Cashews - 4-5
STEPS:--
- Take a blender add milk and chopped banana pieces into it and blend it properly. That's it , you are done. You have 2 glasses of smoothie ready in just 2 minutes.
- But I feel there are so many other things that matter too in a glass of smoothie and one of them is the consistency of smoothie. So I personally prefer medium consistency which will require adding 1 banana in one glass of smoothie. If you like it more thick obviously you can add half more or vice versa.
- . Also you can add some cashews for that nutty and creamy taste , its completely optional , totally depends on your taste and flavor. If you want to add them put them in with milk and other ingredients and give the mixture a grind .
- Pour the mixture from a distance to get the frothy effect .
- Also we haven't added any additional sweetener like sugar or jaggery or maple syrup or honey because banana itself is sweet enough to balance the taste.
- Garnish it with some shredded chocolate so that it looks appealing and mouthwatering.
